Symlex VPN Review: Enjoy Seamless & Secure VPN Service

With the currently soaring business of VPNs, we often stumble upon new VPN servers every day, but not all can satisfy our search and requirements for a good and efficient VPN. Therefore, we have sought some good VPNs in the past few months, and one particularly caught our attention, and that one is Symlex VPN. We have tested that app personally and decided upon placing a review. But, before that, let’s know what a VPN is?

What is a VPN?

VPN is a virtual private network. Its main idea is to protect and secure the data transacted online in this massive networking conducted using the internet. VPNs tend to hide IP addresses, allow you to access restricted networks, and protect you from the fear of data breaches.

Features of Symlex VPN

IT has several VPN protocols: UDP, TLS, TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, DNS, Wireguard, Openconnect, Onenconnect, and AnyConnect. A short description of each protocol is given below for a more precise idea.

UDP

The User Datagram Protocol (UDP) is a lightweight data transport protocol that works on top of IP.

TLS

TLS or Transport Layer Security Encrypts data transferred over the internet so that eavesdroppers and hackers can’t see what you’re sending, which is very beneficial for private and sensitive data.

TCP

TCP is a connection-oriented protocol, which means it establishes and maintains a connection until both end applications have completed exchanging messages.

HTTPS

HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) is an application-layer protocol for sending hypermedia documents such as HTML. It was created to allow web browsers and servers to communicate, but it can also be used for other things. HTTPS is an extended version of HTTP, which implies secured HTTP.

SSH

Secure Shell is a network communication protocol that allows two computers to exchange information and connect. The connection between the two machines is secured by default via SSH, making it acceptable for usage on insecure networks.

DNS

DNS is also known as the Domain Name System. DNS is a protocol that is part of the TCP/IP protocol stack, which defines how computers communicate via the internet and many private networks.

Wireguard

WireGuard is a communication protocol and free and open-source software that enables encrypted virtual private networks. It was created with simplicity, fast performance, and a small attack surface in mind.

Pricing

For a VPN user, the pricing of an app is quite essential. Symlex VPN has a short pricing range which is pretty impossible to get from other providers. They also have Black Friday sales, year-end sales, and occasional sales. The pricing is such that if you use a package of 2 years, you would only have to pay $1.45/month. And monthly, the pricing is $4.50. Not only that, they have a 3-month package, a 6-month package, and even a yearly package.

Services

It offers many platforms for its customer services. They are available on LiveChat, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Email. They certainly did not lie about being a 24/7 support system as they are famous worldwide. Keeping the timezones in mind, they provide support at any time of day, so that is something to keep an eye on.

Torrenting and US Netflix

Surprisingly enough, this VPN supports torrenting. Not only that, it can access US Netflix without getting blocked. We could even access the library without a problem. This is a point to be noted indeed. Of course, you can access other locations or websites even though it might be a little difficult now by using this app, but we believe that if they improve their technological issues, it will be able to unblock websites of all sorts.

Policies

They have a zero-logging policy. It is a significant point as privacy is a virtue in terms of a VPN. We also did not find any problem regarding their approach and their encryption. If I had to risk my documents, I would instead choose Symlex VPN as they are very strict in security cases.

Drawbacks

When there are positive sides to a product, there are drawbacks. First and foremost, the speed. When connected to far-away servers, the connection gets relatively slow, and it takes quite a while for a website to load. Secondly, it does not accept PayPal, the most convenient payment source, for the payments from their clients. Thirdly, this application is limited to Android, iPhone, Mac, and Windows as of now. The developers from their team should most definitely consider launching it across multiple platforms. Considering all the pros and cons of the app, it seems like Symlex does have a bright future. As a user, the only problem we faced was a low speed. It gets annoying to wait for a specific app to work under fast wifi.

Final Thoughts

After following this app for a while, we could be very content. This VPN server has a perfect future ahead. Just some increased servers and fixing the slow network. It has its connections across 50 countries or more and over 100 servers. This is impressive, considering this VPN has been in the market for two years. We wish Symlex VPN all the best and urge them to view our feedback and work accordingly.
